What is the Area drop down box for in the Customer's Account Information section?
 
  • Putting a customer in a specified Area is optional. This is used when certain parts of a city or county have different rates depending on location.  This type of pricing is turned off by default in WasteBooks. Contact WasteBooks Tech Support to enable this option for you.

An example of this scenario would be Atlanta-Fulton County. This is a huge area and a company here may want to charge more for the same service depending on location of the customer. Customers on the North side may get charged $30.00 while customers on the South side may be only getting charged $22.00 for the save service.

This pricing can be setup in the Item Codes section once it is enabled in your WasteBooks. Then depending on what Area you assign to a customer, their specified pricing automatically pulls through for them when you bill them.
